What Cycle Are You In?

I had a close family member that just wanted to stop going to the hospital so much. He didn’t feel it was adding to the time he had left. He wanted less cement parking lots at the hospital, and more time in the backyard. Less waiting rooms, and more time in the comfort of his own home. Less stress and more time to tend to his garden. He wanted to enjoy this last chapter as well as he could, while he could.

Does it ever seem like you are stuck in a cycle without feeling as if your health is progressing in the right direction?

Do you have a desire to have the comfort of your own home but the support of a larger medical, spiritual, emotional community?

Has a life limiting illness placed you into a cycle of emergency visits, long term care, rehab, and back to the hospital more times than you can count?

Hospice is not what it used to be a generation ago and can be a resource for you or a loved one when the time is right. It may be time to talk with your doctor about which cycle you want to choose.
