The benefits of choosing hospice.

We hear a lot of the conversations around why patients fight against hospice, and a lot revolves around that first step of acceptance.
1. Acceptance helps prepare a patient and their family. Acceptance of knowing that we all have a finite timeline when it comes to life and finding comfort in that moment sometimes makes all the difference.
2. Relief can come in many forms. Whether it be the ability to stay at home for care rather than spending time in waiting rooms, or the relief of pain and discomfort when the medical directive follows the chosen course of action.
3. Assistance is always there with Hospice care. Sometimes that assistance in medical, sometimes spiritual, and sometimes mental health. The hospice program is designed to help with all of these factors.
4. Education is so important at this phase of life. Death is seldom something people want to discuss but with the right knowledge you and your family get to make better informed decisions about your care, and your health.
